Dress Code

I really didn't know what to title this post, so whatever.

Here's the thing...

I'm a stay at home mom. Here's what my schedule is like.

Up at 6:30.

Feed, shower, dress, pack lunches for 2 boys who get on a bus at 7:15.

If it is a Monday or Wednesday, Aly and I hit the gym at 8 am.

If it's a Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday, I get Aly up and dressed and ready to put her on a bus at 9:10.

Then I head to the gym. That's right, I go to the gym 5 days a week. I am that awesome.

The rest of my day is consumed with laundry, dishes, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, computer work, cleaning bathrooms, etc. You get the idea. You probably do a lot of this crap yourself.

Is it wrong of me to wear workout/pajama pants every day?

Don't get me wrong, I wear "real" clothes when I need to.

Jeans just are not the most comfortable thing to wear when cooking, cleaning, and wrestling and angry 5 year old.

I am typing this post with wet hair wearing a yellow v-neck and black "lounge" pants. Not exactly workout, not exactly jammies.

I think people think that I am lazy or just don't care anymore when they see my attire.

Lazy? Really? I ran the dishwasher, washed 2 loads of clothes, put away 2 loads of laundry, ran 3 miles and did an hour of indexing today. It's 1:00. That does not a lazy person make.

Seriously.

I shouldn't be judged by what I wear.

That's how I dress. Unless I'm actually going somewhere in which my pants will actually be seen (ie. driving kids around doesn't require real pants unless I have to get out).

I'm with you, Tenille! Go for it! Comfort is number 1 except when we need to be 'seen'!

President Monson's talk tonight about this was AWESOME. I think we could all use a dose of non-judgmentalness in our lives, whichever side we fall on. ;)
